What your horse wants from you.

About Me

I was born to horse people, it just took about 22 years for me to realize that. From the time I could talk, my parents both recall my perpetuation with horses. I always wanted to be around animals and work with horses. I still do! My family farm originally started with a nice 90+ acres of cropland and began to dwindle down through the years. My grandparents raised Angus heifers, we got sheep and ducks for Easter gifts and chickens abound. We even had large feeder pigs who we would ride on as babies. Never a horse! I started lessons when I was 10 and at 16 years started paying for my own and eventually leased horses. My grandfather had horses before I was born, my parents wanting to build a wave of responsibility refused a horse until I could care for one myself. I never got one. I attended college and received my Bachelors in Science from Johnson & Wales University. I focused my riding skills in Dressage. I thought my dreams of working and doing what I loved was just in my grasps. I traveled to Australia straight out of college and worked for prestigious Thoroughbred breeding farms in Victoria and celebrated the holidays in South Australia with a renowned dressage rider John Thompson and top eventing competitor Crystal Connings for the National Australian Equestrian Team. I spent 6 months down-under working with some of the top vets and professionals in the world.

On my return to the US I realized job opportunities were not abound as they were in AUS and I worked a few part time gigs to get by with my school loans. I achieved many personal goals working at different farms and enjoyed my time in the northeast. I soon realized that i was spiraling headfirst, little money, no time off and I was getting more and more in debt. I applied for a sales and web construction position at a family owned business and began immediately. Even though work was great, after 3 months I had a meltdown and realized I missed horses! I soon went on the search for my first partner and began to think about consulting as a side job. I was born and raised in the heart of Amish Country and I came to the conclusion that they needed the help! My neighbors are a typical Amish family. They live simply, have horses and run a business. There youngest daughter took me aside one day and said, "they will help (her parents) if they know what to do". We had been discussing the lameness her pony had started to show that day.

From then on I wanted to help people with there horses! Not just the amish but regular people as well. New and experienced horse owners. "No one knows everything, but everyone should be willing to learn".
